NEW YORK HELL’S ANGELS GANG MEMBER WANTED BY FBI

The FBI is hot on the trail of a dangerous fugitive with ties to the notorious Hell’s Angels outlaw motorcycle gang.

Christopher “Crazy Chris” Slightam, a former member of the gang’s New Rochelle chapter, is wanted for failing to surrender after pleading guilty to federal racketeering (RICO) and narcotics conspiracy charges back in 2017

The Bureau is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to his arrest and capture.

Who is Christopher “Crazy Chris” Slightam?

Christopher Slightam, also known by the aliases “Crazy Chris” and “Cris McNair,” is a 49-year-old white male associated with the Hell’s Angels motorcycle gang. He has a distinctive look with brown hair, blue eyes, standing 5’11” tall and weighing between 220-240 lbs.

Authorities warn that Slightam has several recognizable tattoos, including:

  • “Diablo” on one arm
  • “1%” on the other arm, a symbol used by outlaw bikers

He was last seen with a short goatee and mustache, though his appearance may have changed as he tries to evade law enforcement. Slightam is believed to be hiding out somewhere in the Hudson Valley region of New York.

In February 2017, he was arrested and charged with:

  • Racketeering (violation of RICO statute)
  • Narcotics trafficking conspiracy

Slightam initially pleaded guilty to the charges. However, when ordered to surrender to U.S. Marshals in July 2017 to begin serving his sentence, he became a fugitive by failing to appear.

The Notorious Hell’s Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang

The Hell’s Angels is one of the most infamous outlaw motorcycle gangs operating across the United States and around the world. Founded in 1948, the gang has been involved in a litany of criminal activities including:

  • Drug manufacturing and trafficking
  • Weapons trafficking
  • Money laundering
  • Extortion
  • Prostitution operations
  • Violent turf wars with rival gangs

The gang has an estimated 2,000-2,500 members in over 230 chapters across the U.S., including a significant presence in the New York City metropolitan area

Law enforcement considers them an extremely dangerous criminal enterprise due to their rigid hierarchies, domestic and international connections, and willingness to use extreme violence.

Their chapter based in New Rochelle, New York was the focus of a major federal investigation that led to Slightam and other members being indicted on the RICO and drug charges in 2017

Slightam’s close ties and intimate knowledge of the gang’s operations is a major reason why authorities are so determined to bring him into custody.

The Manhunt for the Fugitive Biker

The Manhunt for the Fugitive Biker

On July 21, 2017, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Christopher Slightam by the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York after his failure to surrender and begin his sentence.

This kicked off an intensive manhunt led by the FBI’s New York Field Office and the Westchester County Safe Streets Task Force.

“The FBI’s New York Field Office, Westchester County Safe Streets Task Force, is assisting the United States Marshals Service with the search for Christopher Slightam.”

– FBI Statement

However, nearly six years later, Slightam remains at large and on the lam. His connections to the Hell’s Angels gang likely give him access to a network of safe houses, resources, and channels to help him evade capture.

His street smarts and experience in the criminal underworld also aid his ability to create false identities and travel undetected.

Authorities believe he may still be laying low somewhere in the Hudson Valley region where the gang has a strong presence

However, they have not ruled out that he may have fled across state lines or even internationally to allied Hell’s Angels chapters abroad.

Rewards and Dangers of Helping Law Enforcement

In an attempt to ramp up pressure on Slightam, the FBI is now offering a $5,000 reward for information leading directly to his arrest

However, they strongly caution against any civilian attempts to apprehend the fugitive, who should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

“Do not try to apprehend Slightam.”

– FBI Warning

Members and associates of the Hell’s Angels are known to follow strict codes of secrecy, silence, and unwavering loyalty. Anyone perceived as a “rat” or informant is at severe risk of violent retaliation from the gang.

Therefore, if you have any information about Slightam’s whereabouts or movements, you are advised to contact your closest FBI Field Office or submit an anonymous tip to the Bureau’s website. Under no circumstances should you approach or attempt to apprehend gang suspects yourself.

The capture of fugitives like Christopher Slightam is crucial to dismantling the pipeline that fuels dangerous gangs like the Hell’s Angels and MS-13

By sharing information through proper channels, law-abiding citizens can do their part to assist federal agents tasked with bringing these violent criminals to justice.
